PINCER Training Overview
The aim of the course is to enable practice based pharmacists/ technicians to support their GP practices to:
1. Use the PINCER tools and methodology
2. Implement realistic action plans that improve the safety and effectiveness of prescribing
Session 1 – An introduction to PINCER and how it works in practice
This session will provide a background to PINCER, including the evidence-based practice and the PRIMIS toolkit. You will understand how to install the PINCER tool and generate practice specific lists of patients and reports in preparation for the next session.
Delegates will be required to run the PINCER indicators in at least one practice before they attend the second training session.
This is the first of three training sessions which will be held over the course of 3 months. You will be required to attend all 3 sessions.
