Applying to art school?
Do you know what is involved in the application process?
Do you know what you need to include in your portfolio?
Stills Gallery invites you to join Julie Read from Portfolio Oomph for a relaxed and informative evening designed to help you navigate the application process for art school.
Julie is a leading educator in the Creative Industries, as featured in The Guardian newspaper, on a mission to create a legacy to ‘unlock your creative genius’.
Her passion and mission is assisting YOU in creating an art portfolio to get you that place at college or university. CLARITY, in particular around the creative process, sketchbooks and what the Colleges actually want to see are the founding principles.
Over the last 6 years she has become known as the “go-to” when it comes to bespoke 1:2:1 support for art applicants (and artists) to start exploring your creativity in a different way for success at art school or personal fulfilment.
Aimed at those who are applying to art school this year, the session will cover what a portfolio is, planning how to create it, what a digital portfolio is and what you may need to consider. We’ll also cover guidance on university open days, researching courses and the current application process. We'll also cover the 10 most common mistakes that are holding you back from getting into art school
