Service Design Breakfasts offer a community of support for people working in and around the service design profession. Whether you’re a lone wolf in a large organisation, a freelancer moving between contracts or a design leader; we all need a friendly ear from time to time.
In an industry that revolves around problem solving, service designers can often find themselves holding a lot. Service Design Breakfasts are an opportunity to discuss what’s keeping you up at night with a group of like minded buddies.
Every month we will gather a small group of 10 people to share breakfast and chat.
The sessions will follow a 3 part format:
8:30 - 8:50am Note down what’s on your mind and share with the wider group
8:50 - 9:10am Break into small groups around common themes for more intimate discussion
9:10 - 9:30am Get back together as a wider group and reflect on our discussions
Breakfast is BYO and attendance is first sign up, first served. We do ask if you sign up you turn up… or let us know so we can offer the place to someone else. We’re deliberately keeping the events small scale to ensure a space for honest discussion.
Who are we?
Service Design Breakfasts are run by Emma Parnell, Rahma Mohamed and Lucy Stewart. We are all Service Designers working in agency and local government.
For this event we have a room booked at Hackney Town Hall. Please sign in at reception and we’ll collect you. Please arrive promptly for 8:25am so we can all head up to the room together.
