Please join us at City University on Thursday 28th February 2019 at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start to participate in a Panel Event on "Mindfulness, Wellbeing and Performance in High-Stakes Contexts: The New Frontier".
Location: Oliver Thompson Lecture Theatre, Tait Building at City, University of London (accessible via Main Entrance in Northampton Square, EC1V 0HB).
Refreshments will be provided from 7.00pm.  All welcome!
This event explores the role of mindfulness in situations where stakes are high and where conventional ways of managing personal and organizational wellbeing and performance are stretched to the limit. What do you do when you find yourself in extreme situations, where old data can quickly become irrelevant, when there is no time to relax and regroup, the risks are high, and the consequences are incalculable? We pose these questions to a panel of experts from industry and academia who are considering “The New Frontier” of linking Mindfulness, Wellbeing and Performance and with whom we will examine the meaning and application of mindfulness to delivering high performance in extreme environments.
The event is organised by City University’s newly founded Centre of Excellence in Mindfulness Research (CEMR) in collaboration with Beta Gamma Sigma, a US-based Honor Society dedicated to bringing together the Top 10% of graduates of AACSB-accredited Business Schools around the world, including Cass Business School.
The panel will be moderated by:

Dr Andrey Pavlov, Associate Professor of Organizational Performance, Cranfield University & President, Beta Gamma Sigma London Chapter

 Confirmed Panel speakers include:

Louise Hosking, Vice President, Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), Hosking Associates
