Lord Mayor's Parlour (8th floor), 5 Strand
(Please note this is a Westminster Council staff only event)
At Westminster City Council we are very proud to have a female Leader, who has a wealth of experience of leading in politics as well as being a working mother. We are excited to announce that the Women's Network will be joined by The Leader of the Council, Nickie Aiken, on Wednesday 6th February at 12 - 1pm in the Lord Mayor’s Parlour, 5 Strand. The Leader will be kindly sharing her early career journey and experiences along the way. This is a fantastic opportunity for our network members, especially those who are in their early to mid-careers, to hear from and quiz our Leader about her experiences and how she has overcome the challenges she has faced.
To book your place, please sign up via this Eventbrite page. It would be fantastic to see staff of all genders attend this event, so please do circulate to your networks. As usual, feel free to bring your lunch (food will not be provided).
We look forward to seeing you there!
The WCC Women’s Network steering group
The Women’s Network exists to provide all women with the resources and opportunities that they feel they need to fulfil their full potential as members of a fair and equal workforce. In collaboration with staff, subject matter experts and ambassadors for women, we will respond to the real experiences of women from across the Council at all levels with innovative and enterprising initiatives that facilitate networking, career progression, personal development and empowerment. We are intersectional, inclusive and offer a platform for all those who identify as women or are passionate about supporting equality and women’s rights in the workplace to inspire and support each other to create a better workplace for all.
If you would like to join the Network and receive updates from us via email, please contact womensnetwork@ and join in the conversation on our Yammer group.
