We are running a mindfulness for parents workshop on Thursday 28th June.
As parents, we are no strangers to the feeling of being overwhelmed! Sometimes it all just gets too much. This session will allow your constantly moving/stressing/thinking/planning mind to slow down.
Ultimately aiming for you to live more in the moment with your child/children throughout the day and night, instead of that feeling of constant momentum.
The aim of the class is to allow you to catch your breath. Take a moment in time to enjoy in the all too consuming but fleeting moment of your child's life. And hopefully gain some skills that you can use throughout your days to slow them down.
Mindfulness can help us to keep calm and stay connected. It can help us to parent the way we intend, and to get the most joy out of parenthood.
The session will be run by Fiona Reid. Fiona volunteers at Swaddle and has been teaching and learning about mindfulness through practical and movement for the last 4 years. With 15 years experience in PE and Health teaching, Fiona is dedicated to helping people improve and lead positive healthy lives.
We are running this as a taster session and will hopefully develop this into a regular event once we have gathered feedback.
This introductory session will be funded by Swaddle but future sessions will have a cost attached. 12 spaces available. Book via Eventbrite.
